Bids, for furnishing all materials, labor, tools, equipment and appurtenances necessary for the construction of Sidewalk Additions for N. Lafayette Drive will be received at the office of the Engineer, HPG and Company by email or delivery until 2:00 pm on December 16, 2020 and then at said place be opened. Results will be made available immediately following the opening.

The Project consists of the following major elements: .

Installation of approximately 3,050 LF of standard 5’ wide sidewalk, 110 LF of standard curb and gutter, minor paving, cross walks, minor storm drainage modifications, sediment and erosion control, and other miscellaneous and related items.

Copies of Contract Documents and plans may be obtained from the office of HPG and Company, Consulting Engineers, Inc., 1627 Richland Street, Columbia, SC 29201.

Each Bid must be accompanied by a Bid Bond, prepared on the form of Bid Bond attached to the Contract Documents or a Surety Company's Standard Bid Bond, duly executed by the Bidder as principal and having as surety thereon a surety company licensed to do business in the State of South Carolina. The Bid Bond shall be in the amount of 5 percent of the Bid.

Sumter County Ordinance No. 08-675 which allows for local preference in the award of contracts shall apply to this Bid.

No Bid will be considered unless the Bidder is legally qualified under the provisions of the South Carolina Contractor's Licensing Law.
